Hello U7 and U8 Coaches,

My name is Evan Spong.

Welcome to the Northshore Youth Soccer Association’s fall season.  I am excited to be serving you as the U7 and U8 Youth Coaching Director. As a player, I started my soccer journey at NYSA and I’m truly honored to be working with the 4 a-side program.  My goal is to support new and returning coaches in all aspects. From individual player development, coach education, lesson plans, and everything in between. 

To get started, Michael Duncan and I have designed a program based on best coaching practices that is developmentally appropriate for this age group.  It covers a wide variety of topics with the intent to best serve you, as coaches, with practical resources. Included will be lesson plans for your entire season.  These lesson plans will be available to you before August 1st.

Thank you again for volunteering as coaches. I encourage you all to attend one of the Coaches Certificates.  It is a great opportunity for me to meet you, as well as getting to know fellow coaches in your age group.  If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
